The perpetrator had previously been fired from the workplace and then ended up in conflict with several other employees.

In early November, he reappeared outside the workplace, and armed with an ax, he attacked one of his former colleagues.

According to the indictment, he allegedly stabbed the victim several times, who only managed to escape with his life due to "temporary circumstances".

He was therefore charged with attempted murder.

But the district court believes that it has not been proven that the perpetrator had intended to kill, and therefore the 44-year-old is not convicted of attempted murder but of second-hand aggravated assault.

The 44-year-old is also convicted of two cases of unlawful threats, one case of harassment and one case of assault of the normal degree against the same victim.

The penalty was three years in prison.
