Satoshi Rakan, a democratic activist who traveled to the United Kingdom in opposition to Hong Kong's National Security Law, revealed that he had applied for asylum in a contribution to the British media.

Nathan Law is known as one of the leaders of a large-scale protest "Umbrella Movement" in which young people in Hong Kong called for democratic elections in 2014, and has been against the Hong Kong National Security Law for half a year. I have been staying in Hong Kong a while ago.

On the 21st, Mr. Luo contributed to the leading British newspaper Guardian and revealed that he had applied for asylum to the British government.

In this, Mr. Luo points out that the reason for choosing Britain as an asylum destination is that unlike the United States, the Chinese Communist Party has not been recognized as a threat to democracy in EU countries and Britain.

On top of that, he explained that by staying in England, he needed to create the soil for that purpose.

Mr. Luo also said that he would work together with his colleagues in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom for human rights and freedom, and said, "No matter how difficult the situation, I will never give up as a Hong Konger." He showed his determination to continue working for the democratization of Hong Kong.
