The government has decided to include approximately 6 billion yen in the third supplementary budget for this year in order to support measures to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus that Japanese people living overseas are promoting.

Both the ruling and opposition parties have pointed out that the government has provided a flat rate of 100,000 yen in cash due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, but support for Japanese overseas should also be considered.

In addition, the third supplementary budget will include 9.9 billion yen for supplying vaccines to developing countries through international organizations and 2 billion yen for system design for applying for passports online. In the foreign affairs field as a whole, about 135 billion yen will be recorded.
