Neckarsulm (dpa) - The supermarket chain Lidl is recalling a trout fillet due to bacterial contamination.

The product “Nautica rainbow trout fillets, 125 g” in the grades natural and pepper from the manufacturer Agustson a / s with the identity code DK 4566 EG is affected, regardless of the use-by date, as the company announced on Friday.

Listeria monocytogenes had been detected in the fish fillets.

Customers should stop consuming the product.

The bacteria can therefore cause severe stomach and intestinal diseases and symptoms similar to those of a flu-like infection.

Infants, toddlers, pregnant women as well as old and sick people would have to reckon with serious illnesses.

The product was sold by Lidl Germany in the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.

The fish fillets are no longer available in stores.

According to Lidl, customers are reimbursed the price in the store even without presenting the receipt.
