This was reported by 'The Daily Beast', which cites three sources close to Trump, whose staff would be in contact with some possible sponsors to understand how solid the prospect of racing again in 2024 is.
According to the same sources, Trump intends to continue to maintain media attention as much as possible, which would find Biden "boring". The idea of an event on January 20 to announce the re-nomination would therefore be part of the attempt to steal the scene from the president-elect as much as possible.
