Kiel (dpa / lno) - Coach Ole Werner does not want to be unsettled by Holstein Kiel's small negative series.

Before the second division game on Sunday (1.30 p.m. / Sky) at Hannover 96, the 32-year-old was optimistic.

"If we do a good job and build on the performance of the last games, then we will have a chance to get three points there - as it would have been possible in the last three weeks," said Werner on Friday.

The home defeat against SpVgg Greuther Fürth was followed by three draws in Aue (1: 1), against leaders Hamburger SV (1: 1) and against 1. FC Heidenheim (2: 2).

Above all, last Saturday's draw against Heidenheim after a 2-0 lead and two goals against in the last few minutes hurt.

Werner does not see a fundamental lack of concentration towards the end of the game.

“We were more focused on focusing,” he said, pointing out that his team won three out of four games in which they were in the lead.

The Holstein trainer is not impressed by the fact that opponents Hannover 96 recently fell short of the claims as a candidate for promotion: “It's still a big name”.

His 96 colleague Kenan Kocak complained about his team that they "unfortunately show two faces".

In their own stadium, the Lower Saxony are still without defeat, they lost all four games away.

Werner and his coaching team also noticed the discrepancy.

"The performance of the 96 team between home and away games is very different," said the Kieler.

"We have to assume that the opponent shows his good face on the day we play against him."

The suspended Johannes van den Bergh and Phil Neumann will be absent on Sunday, and Marco Komenda should also be carefully brought back to the team after an injury.
