A 68-year-old man drowned while swimming off Antibes.

The maritime prefecture of the Mediterranean reminds that swimming is prohibited during confinement.

It was at noon that the Mediterranean Regional Operational Surveillance and Rescue Center (CROSS) received the alert: a body was seen, floating in the sea, at the level of the billionaires cove in Antibes.

The death was pronounced a few minutes later.

In a press release, she indicates that "in accordance with Decree No. 2020-1310 of October 29 prescribing the general measures necessary to deal with the Covid-19 epidemic, any nautical activity - including swimming - is prohibited, due to the current context, and in particular for the preservation of emergency resources ”.
