Cambodian cultural and entertainment venues resume business

  China News Agency, Phnom Penh, November 19 (Reporter Ouyang Kaiyu) The Cambodian Ministry of Health said on the 19th that no new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia were reported in the country that day.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen also lifted the isolation campaign on the same day.

  Earlier this month, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Affairs Sialto was diagnosed with new crown pneumonia in Thailand after ending his visit to Cambodia. During his visit to Cambodia, he had contact with Cambodian party and government officials and entourage including Hun Sen.

Cambodian officials refer to the above incident as the "11·3" incident.

On November 8, the Cambodian government ordered all schools in the capital Phnom Penh and Kanrak province to temporarily suspend classes for two weeks, and the Olympic Stadium temporarily closed.

At the same time, the government also decided to temporarily close down entertainment venues such as museums, KTVs, and cinemas across the country.

  The Ministry of Health of Cambodia said on the 19th that in the fourth round of nucleic acid testing for contacts of the "11·3" incident, the results of nucleic acid tests of 1,422 contacts including Prime Minister Hun Sen and several political figures were negative.

  Hun Sen pointed out after the quarantine was lifted that the "11·3" incident had ended and the government decided to resume normal life before the incident.

All schools in Phnom Penh City and Kangla Province will resume classes on the 23rd.

Cultural and entertainment venues such as the Olympic Stadium, museums, and movie theaters resume business, and people can resume holding weddings.

  Hun Sen also emphasized that the fight against the new crown virus is not over and the public should not relax their vigilance and should maintain necessary prevention and control measures.
