“RDIF and Uniao Quimica Farmaceutica Nacional and the government of Paraná state announce that they have submitted a package of documents for registration of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine to the Brazilian National Agency for Sanitary Inspection (ANVISA),” the Foundation said.
It is noted that the documents were sent to ANVISA on October 29.
RDIF CEO Kirill Dmitriev said that "the registration will allow to start production and distribution of the vaccine in Brazil in the near future."
Earlier, RDIF sent applications to the World Health Organization for an accelerated registration procedure for the Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine.
