Naftogaz supports the decision of the United States to expand sanctions against Nord Stream 2.

The State Department today released new instructions on the application of sanctions, which expand the list of entities providing support to Russian pipe-laying vessels involved in the construction of Nord Stream 2, the Ukrainian company said in a statement.

They promised to work closely with "partners in Washington, Brussels, Berlin and other regions" in order to prevent the completion of the construction of Nord Stream 2.

On October 20, the United States imposed additional sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Washington is working to build a coalition to keep the project from completion.

The Kremlin, commenting on this statement, pointed to the US sanctions dependence.
