The clubs and players of the French Women's Football Championship will participate in the information campaign on early detection and the fight against breast cancer entitled "Pink October", during which the title partner, Arkema, will pay 100 euros for each goal scored.

"Each year, 58,000 new women are affected by breast cancer in France, this represents one in eight women. But if it is detected early enough, there is a 99% chance of being cured," explains in a video clip Paris SG players, Grace Geyoro and Bénédicte Simon, alongside in particular Carol Cabrino and Jenny Priez, the respective companions of Marquinhos (captain of the men's team) and Luka Karabatic (captain of the handball team).

During the month of October, the employees of the clubs engaged in D1 will wear pink ribbons and the players, pink laces on their shoes, while the official accounts of the clubs will display a specific dressing on social networks, according to the French Federation of football which organizes the championship.

According to the FFF, the title partner Arkema "will notably donate 100 euros per goal scored in D1 during all the days of the championship in October", which has four.

The Ruban Rose association carries out annual awareness campaigns in the fight against breast cancer, responsible for more than 12,000 deaths per year in metropolitan France, ie "the leading cause of cancer death in women" according to Public Health France.

According to the National Cancer Institute (INCa), "15 to 21% of breast cancer deaths could be avoided thanks to organized screening".
