Profile. The confessed author of the death of Manuela Chavero: rancher, truck driver and always lonely
The family of Manuela Chavero - the 42-year-old woman who disappeared in Monesterio (Badajoz) in July 2016 and was buried on a farm owned by Eugenio Delgado, her neighbor, - has asked the Government of
Spain for
more resources for the Guard Civil in order to clarify more cases of this type: "There are many families who have their loved ones disappeared and not all of them have the fortune of being wanted or that the UCO can carry out the investigation."
In a letter addressed to the media, signed by
Emilia Chavero
-who has acted as a spokesperson for the family during the four years since the disappearance-, he warned that "unfortunately in Spain the teams of Civil Guard investigation ".
And she adds: "We know that they have many limitations of all kinds and with rather scarce resources, so their work has even more value if possible".
In this sense, he insists in his letter that there is a clear lack of resources for this type of investigation, both for individuals and economically: "It is a shame that many missing persons cannot be searched and that families never have the answer that we need so much in these cases ".
For this reason, he adds, "it is necessary to provide the Civil Guard with more resources, since it is a body of which we should be proud."
In turn, Emilia Chavero appreciates the "professionalism" and "involvement" of the Civil Guard in solving her case, especially to the
Central Operative Unit
(UCO) because the affection, respect, and pleasure with which they have been "exceptional They have tried during the four years in which their sister has been missing, until they have managed to arrest the person presumed responsible for her disappearance and death: "Thank you from the bottom of your heart for your work. We will eternally appreciate your long hours of work, with the psychological wear and tear that This entails, their professionalism, effort and treatment of the family. Their work - he adds - has been impeccable, they have managed to give us that answer we so badly needed: to know where
Manoli
is
and to know who is the person who has committed this brutal act ".
The sister of the deceased recalls that "there have been many hours of talks, consolations, tears, unanswered questions until reaching the resolution" of this case with the arrest of the alleged perpetrator.
Thus, he assures that during the four years that his sister has been missing, the family has always been sure that the Civil Guard would solve the case "because of your professionalism, involvement, for responding to the family for making justice and also for love for Manuela and her children. "
And despite the fact that the agents have not met his sister in person, "after four years collecting data on her life, you have discovered a great person, nice, familiar, friend of her friends, nice and above all a great mother".
It was about a woman - the letter continues - who "did not deserve such a bad ending" because "no person deserves to have such a cold and evil person next to him that he could commit this crime".
However, "we have always had that confidence in you, you have been our only hope that this will be resolved," says Emilia Chavero, who indicates that she will always carry "in my soul a great work team, which I have been able to treat a lot. and from which I have always received affection and understanding ".
Now, the family hopes that justice will be done: "We are sure that it will be done and that this individual will spend the rest of his days in prison."
At the end of the letter, he thanks again the work of the Civil Guard investigators because thanks to them "we will be able to rest in peace."
And she adds: "The people of Monesterio, the family and I in particular, Emilia Chavero, will never forget them and we will be eternally grateful. We will always carry them in our hearts."
