United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon: 90 peacekeepers are infected with the new crown virus

  The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) issued a statement on September 13, stating that 90 UNIFIL peacekeepers were infected with the new crown virus.

  The statement stated that 88 of the infected officers and soldiers were from the same country, and the other two were from another country.

Only 4 of them developed symptoms.

  The statement said that these officers and soldiers have been isolated.

UNIFIL has taken measures to prevent the epidemic from spreading further.

  The statement also mentioned that UNIFIL has not been affected in the implementation of peacekeeping missions.

  According to data provided by UNIFIL, as of September 8 this year, UNIFIL included 10,344 peacekeepers from 45 troop-contributing countries.
