In April, The New York Post, citing sources, reported that the North Korean leader had died or was in a "vegetative" state.

After that, the head of the Korean Friendship Association, Alejandro Cao de Benos, denied reports of the death of the DPRK leader.

On April 28, South Korea's Minister for National Unification, Kang Yong Chol, said that publications about Kim Jong Un's death were "fake" and "infodemia." 

On May 2, Kim Jong-un made his first public appearance in 20 days.
