North Korea conducted training exercises using 600 mm ultra-large caliber multiple launch rocket systems. The purpose of the firing exercises was to confirm the power and combat capabilities of weapon systems.
North Korea also launched a ballistic missile towards the Sea of Japan. In addition, Kim Jong-un congratulated Putin on his victory in the elections. The exercises were led by North Korean leader Kim Kim-Jong-un. The Korean Central News Agency reports that the exercises took place on March 18. The exercise was conducted by units armed with 600-mm caliber rocket guns.
