A 39-year-old man, who had very recently been released from prison, was shot in the head Tuesday evening in Aubagne, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, near Marseille.

The facts took place in the street, and the investigation was entrusted to the judicial police.

According to

La Provence

, which revealed this homicide, three cars were found set on fire after the incident: the investigators believe that the authors would have set fire to the vehicle they used and that the incident would have spread to two other cars.

If this homicide is indeed a settling of scores, the man killed would be the 10th victim of this type of incident since early 2020 in the Bouches-du-Rhône, according to a count from the police headquarters.
