A few weeks ago, the Swedish Water Ski and Wakeboard Association announced that this year's Swedish Championships would not be held in Fagersta.
The reason was the closure of Riksidrottsgymnasiet there and the ongoing investigation and suspicions about students' vulnerability at school.
Active work to ensure that the Swedish Championships, both behind cable and behind the boat, could be carried out.
After looking at different solutions and having discussions with different associations, it was decided that the competitions would be divided into two places over two weekends: the Swedish Championships behind cable in Västerås on 5 September and the Swedish Championships behind boats in Linköping on 12 September.
