On Friday, Russian fighters intercepted 3 American bombers over the Black Sea, on the other hand, Washington expressed its concern to Moscow after the incident of their forces colliding in Syria.

On Friday, Russian news agencies quoted the Defense Ministry in Moscow as saying that Russia had paid 8 fighter jets to intercept 3 US strategic bombers, "B-52H" (B-52H) while they were flying over the Black Sea.

The ministry added - in an official statement - that its air forces had spotted 3 American strategic bombers that were flying over the waters of the Black Sea and approaching the Russian border.

The statement added that 4 "Sukhoi-27" fighters and 4 other "Sukhoi-30" fighters flew over the waters of Black Bahrain and Izovskoye, with the aim of preventing US aircraft violations of Russian airspace.

He explained that the Russian fighters returned to their bases after the American bombers moved away from the Russian borders.

Frequent friction

There have been many incidents of friction between US warplanes and their Russian counterparts during the current year.

Last July, Moscow said that a Russian "Sukhoi-27" fighter plane had intercepted two American reconnaissance planes, after they approached the Russian border over the Black Sea.

In the same week, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the interception of one of its fighter jets, an American Poseidon reconnaissance plane, over international waters in the Black Sea.

On July 23, the Russian Ministry of Defense published a video clip of an American reconnaissance plane that appeared over the neutral waters of the Black Sea, as the plane was approaching the Russian border, so the Russian army began monitoring it.

On the other hand, American fighters intercepted 4 Russian aircraft near the coast of Alaska, in the northern United States, last June.

Washington said that the Russian planes flew 65 nautical miles off the coast of Alaska for 8 hours.

An American concern

In a related context, US National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien said on Friday that "the United States has expressed its concern to Russia about an accident in Syria in which a number of American soldiers were injured, when a Russian military vehicle collided with their vehicle."

"It was communicated very clearly to them (Russia), and it was done at the appropriate level," O'Brien said during a news conference at the White House.

And the White House announced at the end of last August that a Russian military convoy, including armored vehicles, troop carriers and attack helicopters, intercepted two American armored vehicles in northeastern Syria and hit one of them, in a confrontation that resulted in the injury of American soldiers.

While the US presidency did not clarify the number of wounded soldiers or the severity of their injuries, videos apparently taken by the Russian military personnel themselves and posted on Twitter showed Russian troop carriers and helicopters surrounding the two American vehicles and then forcing them to leave the area near the city of Derek (Al-Malikiyah) in the province. Hasaka in the far northeast of Syria.

Rarely do confrontations occur between Russian and American forces in Syria.

And earlier this year, another video footage showed friction between US and Russian forces on a road in Syria.

The US military does not generally comment on casualties, but a paratrooper was killed last month in a vehicle accident in eastern Syria.

There are still about 500 American soldiers in northern Syria, after a sharp reduction in the number of forces that were initially present to expel ISIS.
