The education administration's security strategist takes the recent damage to Hisingstorpsskolan and Hisingstorps preschool seriously. Several schools in Jönköping municipality have been damaged during the summer, but not to the same extent as Hisingstorpsskolan, according to the municipality.

- We take this very seriously. The damage affects students and staff at the school and in the end there will also be large costs for the municipality, says Eva-Karin Karlsson, the education administration's security strategist, in a press release to SVT.

Can set up cameras

The municipality of Jönköping is now reviewing what measures must be taken to overcome the problems. An alternative the municipality raises is to place cameras on the school buildings.

- But it also costs a lot of money to set up cameras and requires special permits as there are long processing times right now at the Data Inspectorate, says Eva-Karin.

Several municipalities in Jönköping County are investing extra in preventing damage during the summer, see more about it in the clip below.
