According to the department, on August 15, at about 17:00, a fire broke out on the lower deck of the fishing vessel "Sayda", moored at the floating berth in the area of Three Streams of Murmansk.
There were three crew members on board, they were evacuated, no one was hurt.
It is noted that the vessel was not operated, it was being prepared for scrapping.
"The Murmansk Transport Prosecutor's Office is checking the implementation of the legislation on safety in the operation of water transport in connection with a fire on board," the prosecutor's office said.
Earlier, the prosecutor's office began an investigation into the collapse of a mine in Kuzbass.
