There was a fire on the icebreaker Ermak in St. Petersburg.

The fire occurred on February 29, 2024 in the storage room on the first deck. In August 2023, a fire was reported in the hold of the Tersky Bereg cargo ship standing at the pier. The crew evacuated on their own. The Transport Prosecutor’s Office will establish all the circumstances and, if there are grounds, take prosecutorial response measures,” the statement adds. The North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation.
