100,000 residents leave Kuwait without returning by the end of 2020
Kuwaiti security sources revealed that about 100 thousand residents will leave the country without returning before the end of this year, after the referral of their registered companies to the investigation authorities on charges of trade in residencies, which means that there is no real work available for them, as well as placing security restrictions and codes by the Ministry of Affairs on files Their companies.
The sources said, according to "Al-Qabas": "Since the unprecedented intensification of the security campaigns against the residence trade during the last period, about 450 companies and institutions have been referred to the investigation authorities through 300 cases."
She added, "By examining the files of these companies, it was found that about 100 thousand workers are registered with them, all of them without real work. They would obtain residency through these fictitious companies in exchange for money, and then go to work outside the scope of their companies."
The sources indicated that the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Administration of Residency Affairs Investigation, referred 535 people, including 55 Kuwaitis, to investigation authorities for their involvement in these cases, pointing out that inspections and checks on phantom companies and farms are still ongoing, in cooperation with the specialized teams of the Ministry of Affairs. .
She explained that some of these workers have already left as soon as they know that their companies have been transferred to the investigation authorities, and they will not be able to return again, and the rest are waiting for the airspace to open for departure.
The sources said that this outcome is the first of a serious and wide move to adjust the demographics, control residences merchants and deport random workers, and other steps will follow.
The sources estimated amounts amounting to about 66 million dinars that these fictitious companies earned during the years 2018-2019 as a result of the residency trade. It was found that about 30 thousand workers were brought in from Arab and Asian countries, with a total proceeds of about 45 million dinars, given that the price of a single visa is about 1500 dinars for some nationalities, and increases for other nationalities, in addition to making residencies for about 70 thousand residents inside Kuwait, With a total of about 21 million dinars.
The sources pointed out that leadership instructions were issued not to tolerate residences dealers and hit with an iron hand on any company whose file turned out to be fake, and intense coordination is currently underway between the Ministry of Interior and other concerned bodies to control residences dealers.
