The Vector Research Center is preparing to launch the production of a vaccine against coronavirus in November, said the organization's general director Rinat Maksyutov.

“We expect to launch production in November this year. Therefore, closer to the end of this - the beginning of next year, we can talk about the transition to vaccination of people from risk groups with the subsequent transition to mass vaccination, ”Maksyutov said on the air of the Vesti program.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, spoke about the completion of clinical trials of a coronavirus vaccine developed by the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamalei. According to the minister, it is planned to begin mass vaccination against coronavirus in October. He noted that this procedure will be free.

Murashko said that a package of documents is being prepared for registration of the drug, after which its use will begin. According to the minister, I will be the first to vaccinate certain groups of citizens, in particular, doctors and teachers.

As the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova noted, the Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection being developed will be absolutely safe and effective. She stated this in an interview with the Vesti program on the Russia 1 TV channel.

“I have no doubt that the vaccine that gets to people today will be absolutely safe and, of course, effective,” TASS quotes her.

At the same time, Popova emphasized that strict quality control of vaccines is being carried out in Russia. “We take into account every redness after the injection of any drug,” she said.

Assessment of the situation with COVID-19 in Russia

In addition, Popova assessed the current situation with the incidence of coronavirus in Russia. According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor, in 80 regions of the Russian Federation, the situation is stabilizing or the incidence of COVID-19 is decreasing.

At the same time, according to Popova, there is not very significant growth in five Russian regions.

“Yes, somewhere we rushed a bit with the opening, somewhere such covid nihilism is flourishing:“ Everything will be fine with us, we have already come out of restrictions, ”said the head of Rospotrebnadzor on the air of the Vesti program.

Recall that over the past day, 5427 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Russia. A day earlier, in the Russian Federation, this figure was 5462 cases, the day before - 5482.

“Any disinfectant of a given concentration is destructive for this virus. That is, no matter what we wipe, the main thing is to treat it with a disinfectant, ”said the head of Rospotrebnadzor.
