Argentina: explosion in the number of dengue cases. Majority of the 57,000 cases recorded since the start of the year are concentrated in the northern regions of the country.

Dengue has already caused the death of 38 people this year. A vaccine developed in Argentina has been approved by ANMAT, the national health authority, but has not yet been integrated into the national vaccination strategy. The prevention campaign at the national level seems to be slowing down and more voices are being raised to denounce the passivity of the government.
