China News Service, Bangkok, July 31. The Chinese Embassy in Thailand issued a notice on its official website on July 31, announcing the implementation of specific methods for boarding passengers on flights to China in Thailand with a negative certificate of the new coronavirus nucleic acid test.

In order to ensure the health and safety of international travel and reduce the risk of cross-border spread of the epidemic, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly issued on July 20 the "Announcement on the Boarding of Passengers on Flights to China with a Negative Coronavirus Nucleic Acid Test Certificate." The Chinese Embassy in Thailand issued this specific implementation method accordingly.

The notice stated that starting from August 10, 2020, Chinese and foreign passengers travelling from Thailand to China and transiting to China via Thailand must complete the new coronavirus nucleic acid test (non-serum antibody test) within 5 days before boarding. And apply for the green health code or health status statement with the "HS" logo with the negative nucleic acid test certificate. The airline checks the passengers before boarding.

Nucleic acid testing should be done in a testing agency recognized by the Chinese Embassy in Thailand.

According to the notice, Chinese citizens should, within 24 hours of obtaining the certificate of negative nucleic acid test, declare their personal situation and upload the certificate of negative nucleic acid test through the WeChat mini program of the international version of the epidemic prevention health code. After review and approval by the Chinese Embassy and Consulate, the person concerned can obtain a green health code with the "HS" logo.

After obtaining the negative nucleic acid test certificate, the foreign citizen should send the scanned copy of the valid passport data page, the negative test certificate and the applicant's signed health statement to the designated email address of the Chinese embassy in Thailand. After the Chinese embassy and consulate has passed the review, the scanned copy of the health condition statement shall be sent back to the applicant by email, and the applicant shall print it out and bring it to the airport.

The Chinese Embassy in Thailand reminds that all passengers strictly abide by relevant anti-epidemic laws and regulations and must provide true and effective nucleic acid test certificates. Falsified nucleic acid test certificates will bear corresponding legal consequences. (Finish)
