"According to the plan of the exercise, the duty shift of the frigate's air defense detected a simulated enemy aircraft approaching the ship, after which the servicemen performed actions to repel air attack weapons," the message says.
The frigate "Admiral Makarov" has been performing tasks as part of the permanent grouping of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea since June this year.
