The Ministry of Health did not rule out the second wave of coronavirus infection COVID-19, but noted that it would be weaker than the previous one.

“In the fall we can expect a slight increase in the incidence. School, student, work collectives will be formed, people will return from vacations. This always leads to an increase in the incidence of respiratory infections, but we do not expect the second wave to be as strong as the first wave, ”said Professor Vladimir Chulanov, chief infectious diseases specialist at the Ministry of Health. Chulanov explained that many people have gained immunity to coronavirus. In addition, according to the professor, citizens are now "more serious about the recommended preventive measures, warnings, experience of preventive measures has appeared."

The headquarters indicated that over the past day an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 was not recorded in the Chukotka Autonomous Region.

According to the FMBA, on July 17, no cases of COVID-19 infection were reported on the territory of the Vostochny spaceport. Nevertheless, 52 cases of infection were detected in ZATO Tsiolkovsky, 41 people recovered. It is noted that the disease in all patients proceeds in a mild and moderate form.
