China News Service, July 7 (Xinhua) According to the Ministry of Defence website, on July 7, the ASEAN rotating presidency, Vietnam, hosted the ASEAN Defense Senior Officials’ Enlarged Video Conference. China and 17 member countries of the mechanism and the ASEAN Secretariat participated.
During the meeting, all parties exchanged views on the regional security situation in the context of the new coronary pneumonia. The Chinese side introduced the situation and experience of the Chinese military’s participation in the fight against the New Coronary Pneumonia epidemic, and proposed that all parties should strengthen their capacity building to meet non-traditional security challenges and create more favorable conditions for regional security development.
