July 06, 2020 "To my wife Maria the most painful farewell". Ennio Morricone underlines it in a composed and poignant obituary that he wanted to write himself in first person and that tomorrow, reports his family friend and his lawyer Giorgio Assumma, will be published in all newspapers and which has as its header "ENNIO MORRICONE I'm dead". This is the beginning of the obituary in which the Oscar-winning Maestro remembers the director Giuseppe Tornatore and other friends with particular affection, embraces his children, his grandchildren "I hope they understand how much I loved them". And he explains why he gave orders for private funerals "for one reason only: I don't want to disturb." This is the text of the obituary written by Morricone himself: "ENNIO MORRICONE is dead. So I announce it to all the friends who have always been close to me and also to those who are a little far away and I greet them with great affection. Impossible to name them all. But a special memory is for Peppuccio and Roberta, fraternal friends very present in the last years of our life. There is only one reason that pushes me to greet everyone like this and to have a funeral in private form: I do not want to disturb. part of my life. I want to remember my sisters Adriana, Maria, Franca and their loved ones with love and let them know how much I loved them. A full, intense and profound greeting to my children Marco, Alessandra, Andrea, Giovanni, my daughter-in-law Monica, and to my grandchildren Francesca, Valentina, Francesco and Luca. I hope they understand how much I loved them. Last but not least (Maria). I renew to you the extraordinary love that has held us together and that I am sorry to abandon. To you the most painful farewell ".
