Compared to the same period last year, this is an increase of just over 70 percent.
Most of the robberies take place in the central parts of town or on the roads to or from the center. The robbers are usually a smaller group of young men and the victims are almost exclusively men between the ages of 18 and 35.
"We have gone through all the robberies and also gone back to the previous year and can in some cases see recurring approaches," says Linda Hedmark, local police area manager in Örebro.
- In many of the cases it is probably the same perpetrators, but they can occur in slightly different groupings at different times.
