"The window to get the coronavirus under control is closing." The alarm comes from American health secretary Alex Azar, while the country is struggling with an increase in cases in several states, notably Texas, Florida, Arizona and California. "We have to act, and people have to behave responsibly - Azar told NBC - We need social distancing, we have to use face covers if we are in environments where we cannot keep our distance, especially in these hot areas" .

Three days ago, during a press briefing, Anthony Fauci, the virologist at the head of the White House task force, spoke of a "serious situation in the US", referring to the boom in infections in some states. Meanwhile, 31 US states have reported an increase in infections and 14 states, where growth is greatest, have stopped or partially reversed reopenings.
