As a law enforcement source told TASS, the shooting occurred during an operation to apprehend criminal leaders.
“According to preliminary information, one person was injured during the shooting, he received a gunshot wound,” the source said.
On June 15, traffic police officers stopped a taxi car on Leninsky Prospekt for violating traffic rules, at that moment a passerby opened fire on them.
Two policemen were injured. The attacker was also injured and was taken to hospital. Later, the shooter died.
