RT project # Mail Victories: On June 24, WWII veterans will be congratulated with an interactive postcard in the center of the capital

From June 17 to 21, on the facade of the Digital Business Space (47 Pokrovka St.), an announcement video of the RT # PochtaPobedy project will appear. With the help of a QR code, anyone can go to the site and leave a congratulation to veterans of the Great Patriotic War. June 24 - the day of the Victory Day parade - wishes and words of gratitude will be shown on the media screen of the DAC.

In the project #PochtaPobedy RT told the stories of veterans of World War II, inviting viewers to write letters to them. The editors of the channel received several hundred messages from Russia, Belarus, Germany, the USA, China and other countries. RT also implemented a digital special project #Victory Pages, which talks about the war on five social media platforms. On Twitter, the project team reconstructed the events of 1945 - dozens of historical characters published messages about the last months of the war. On Instagram, RT created “Infinite Letter” - young artists from the School of Design of the RANEPA painted hundreds of illustrations for lines from front-line letters.

RT recreated the moment of the historical photograph in which Soviet soldiers hoisted the Victory Banner over the Reichstag in 1945. For reconstruction, we used all available photos taken by war correspondent Eugene Chaldea on the roof of the German parliament, as well as more than 40 other pictures of the building.
