Archpriest Leonid Kalinin, chairman of the Russian Orthodox Church’s expert council on church art, architecture and restoration, noted that “the consecration of the church is like a person’s birthday.”

He said that "sometimes they even set up special holidays in honor of the consecration of great temples, and this is not just a temple, but a patriarchal cathedral in the name of the Resurrection of Christ and the main temple of the Armed Forces of Russia."

In May, in the Moscow region in the Patriot Park, the construction of the main temple of the Armed Forces of Russia was completed.

In August 2019, it was reported that an ensemble of bells weighing more than 20 tons, decorated with bas-reliefs depicting key events of the Great Patriotic War, was installed in the belfry of the main temple of the Armed Forces of Russia.
