“A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Russia (violation of safety rules for the movement and operation of water transport, resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence), ”said a spokeswoman for the Office of Elena Markovskaya to RT.

According to the investigation, the incident occurred on June 14 at about 15:00.

A GTX jet ski was driven by a local resident born in 1986 with a boy and girl born in 2007 on board.

“The girl, wearing a life jacket, was able to swim ashore on her own. The boatmaster and the boy were without life saving equipment, only in wetsuits, ”the department said.

Currently, work is ongoing to search for their bodies.

The department noted that the jet ski was not registered in the prescribed manner.

Earlier, a boat turned over off the coast of Kamchatka in Avacha Bay; four missing men are being searched.
