June 11, 2020 The Norwegian Philip Manshaus was sentenced to 21 years in prison for murder, who on August 10 stormed the mosque of Baerum, a suburb west of Oslo, after killing his 17-year-old stepsister with a gunshot hunting. No one was seriously injured during the shooting in the mosque, where Eid al-Adha celebrations were taking place and where the attacker was stopped.

Manshaus, 22, "has proven to be an extremely dangerous person," said prosecutor Johan Oeverberg, asking for the maximum penalty under Norwegian law. Manshaus' lawyer had requested that his client be acquitted.
