“The forces and means of the Baltic Fleet are monitoring the US and European naval exercises Baltops 2020, held from June 7 to 19 in the southern and central parts of the Baltic Sea,” RIA Novosti reports from the center’s press service.
The Baltops 2020 exercises are attended by 17 NATO countries and two partner states - Sweden and Finland.
They employ up to 3 thousand people, 28 ships and 28 aircraft and helicopters.
In 2019, 18 countries - members of the alliance took part in the maneuvers. In total, 44 warships, 40 aircraft and helicopters, as well as about 12 thousand military personnel, were involved.
