The accident was called in at 23.40 on Saturday evening. When the emergency services arrived at the scene, they were met by four people, two shocked women and two injured men, all in their 20s. All were taken by ambulance to Ljungby lasarett.

According to the rescue service, the accident happened when all four were sitting on the quad and driving off a minor road outside the church village.

The two women managed without physical injuries, but the two men were cared for overnight at the Ljungby laser. One is considered to have life-threatening injuries and has been taken to Lund University Hospital for further care. The other man is slightly injured and remains in hospital, says Kronoberg Region.

Accident with A-tractor the same evening

Just a couple of hours earlier in the evening, at 20 o'clock another accident occurred with young drivers in Rataryd, just a mile from Bolmsö church village. Three teenage boys under the age of 18 drove off the road with an A-tractor.

All three were taken to hospitals, two of them were slightly injured, according to health care, one of which had to remain on the laser bed overnight for examination. The third man must have survived unharmed.
