The injured man was taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Sundsvall Hospital following an accident where he landed on one shoulder.

Although he had pain from both neck and shoulder, only the latter was x-rayed. Only at a follow-up at Örnsköldsvik Hospital after two weeks was the neck injury discovered.

The emergency has indicated that the man had full mobility in the neck during the examination. But IVO points out that the pain from the shoulder may have been distracting.
