This is stated in the message of the cabinet.

“Russian regions will receive subsidies in the amount of 100 billion rubles to compensate for the decrease in budget revenues,” the government said.

The funds were allocated on behalf of the president. They will be sent to 56 regions where tax and non-tax revenues as of May 1, 2020 were lower than revenues for the previous two years.

Moreover, the size of the subsidy for each of the regions will be determined taking into account the priority expenditures of regional budgets.

The government added that such a measure would help to balance and consolidate the budgets of the regions in the face of restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier, the Cabinet allocated 25 billion rubles to support the Russian automobile industry.
