It was around 4:30 p.m. when they saw them tumbling down, between Pontchâteau and Savenay. The gendarmes of Loire-Atlantique announced that they had arrested two young drivers who were driving at full speed on Sunday afternoon. The two boys, 19 and 20 years old, holding a probationary license, were theoretically not to exceed 100 km / h on this national road. But they were checked at 215 and 216 km / h while racing, each driving a Volkswagen Golf 7 and having one passenger on board. Their license was immediately withdrawn.

They had just bought the second car

According to the gendarmes, these friends had left the department of Manche, with two other people, in one and the same car. They would have driven to Lorient to buy the second vehicle, before engaging in this speed race on the return journey. To top it off, the official owner of the second car (although he was not behind the wheel) does not hold a driving license, say the gendarmes.
