It may not belong to the custom that just trouble arises. But two local grocery stores in central Helsingborg have just had to deal with that kind of situation lately.

"We had a situation where a woman hit another customer with a leek," says Tobias Nordén, store manager.

What happened then?

- They backed out anyway, he says.

"I happen to be annoyed"

Not all stores find this to be a problem. In a survey of several stores, most people still testify about perceived conversations between customers if the distances are not kept.

Sofia Morell, store manager at a local grocery store, thinks things have gotten better over time and that verbal situations are still quite unusual.

- But my co-workers sometimes have to go in and calm down and say, "Now we keep our distance". Then everything will be fine, she says.

Customer Gertrud Persson sometimes responds to people who come close.

- It happens that I get annoyed, she says.

What do you say to them?

- I'm not saying anything, I'm nuts for myself - although I should say, really, says Gertrud Persson.
