In its 6-hour bulletin, Météo-France indicates that the Gironde, the Landes, and the Pyrénées-Atlantiques are placed in orange alert for thunderstorms. 

Three departments of the Atlantic coast are placed Monday in orange alert to thunderstorms, said Météo-France in its 6-hour bulletin: Gironde, Landes, and Pyrénées-Atlantiques. The alert will start around 8 p.m. and end Tuesday around 1 a.m.

"After a day marked by high temperatures, thunderstorms, accompanied by strong winds and falling hail, are expected Monday evening," said Météo-France. In southern Aquitaine, between southern Gironde and the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, it should notably be between 30 and 33 degrees. 

Gusts over 100 km / h

"In the late afternoon and early evening, the sky will become threatening and thunderstorms may break out in Aquitaine in isolation. Then, between the evening and the start of the night, more organized and stronger thunderstorms will win by the southwest and the Atlantic coast ", continues Météo-France. Wind gusts may exceed 100 km / h.
