“If Rosneft Trading is not related to Venezuela, then sanctions based on its actions in Venezuela or related to Venezuela should be lifted. I don’t know if this is so, ”he said during a telephone briefing in response to a related question.

He added that the US will check whether Rosneft and Rosneft Trading are no longer affiliated with Venezuela.

Earlier in the US, they stated that they did not intend to inform in advance about their further actions in relation to Rosneft's subsidiaries after the sale of its assets in Venezuela.

Rosneft, in turn, noted that they were counting on lifting US sanctions from subsidiaries.
