- We're on an uphill slope. We have been dealing with this for a few weeks now and we have certainly not reached the summit yet. But we have a plan for how we should act when the peak arrives and it is clear that we are also looking forward to when the tail comes and this calms down, says Britt Åkerlind, infection control physician Region Östergötland.
Furthermore, Britt Åkerlind says that the situation is strained in healthcare.
- It is absolutely strenuous as it includes more than you are used to. We have to reorganize in part. People may get to work in other healthcare teams and in other departments than you are used to. There are more sick patients, so there are many different parts that are new to our staff, says Britt Åkerlind.
