Yesterday, Monday, the Spanish capital authorities began keeping corpses of corona virus deaths in the skating halls, due to the interruption of burials in the city's cemeteries and overcrowding of dead preservation refrigerators.

Madrid mayor Jose Luis Martínez Almeida said - in a statement - that the municipality's cemetery directorate halted burials in the city's graves, due to its overcrowding.

He stated that the number of daily deaths in Madrid - the most affected by the Corona virus - exceeds 150 people, calling on the Ministry of Health to provide support to the municipality, in order to continue providing its services.

For its part, the official Spanish news agency stated that the bodies, which could not be buried in Madrid, will be placed in the ski hall in a shopping center in the capital.

"Preparations have begun so that the facilities provided by the Ice Palace can receive the bodies and facilitate the work of funeral services in the face of this exceptional situation," the Madrid regional government said in a statement.

She added that this is an exceptional temporary measure aimed at alleviating the pain of family members of the victims and the situation facing hospitals in Madrid.

According to the statistics of the Spanish Ministry of Health, the number of deaths in Corona throughout the country rose to 2,182, about 87% of them over the age of seventy.

Under an agreement between the Madrid regional government and the Ministry of Defense on Friday, the soldiers began helping to transfer the bodies of the dead people of the virus to the morgue.
