"

The security spokesman called on citizens to "abide by their homes and not go out under any circumstances," stressing that "everyone who violates will be arrested and legal measures will be taken against him."

The government has excluded doctors and nurses across Jordan from the ban, according to the nurses' captain, Khaled Rababaa.

On her part, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Hala Zawati announced the exclusion of 45 petrol stations throughout the governorates from the ban, as these stations will operate from six in the morning until six in the evening in order to provide fuel for vehicles that are excluded from the ban on petrol and help them perform their duty in this exceptional circumstance, The minister also excluded the cars that sell liquefied domestic gas that roam the neighborhoods, indicating the high demand for this material to reach 230 thousand cylinders per day.

The government said it was also studying the mechanism of reopening some pharmacies and excluding them from the ban.

The Minister of State for Information Affairs, Amjad Al-Adayleh, called in the Jordan press conference to "get used to the new lifestyle so that things can return to normal."

As of Saturday morning, the Amman Municipality started a sterilization campaign in the Jordanian capital’s neighborhoods, and the secretariat’s spokesman said that “sterilization will include all the regions of the Municipality of Amman, its districts, commercial facilities and main streets through specialized teams distributed over 100 mechanisms designated for sterilization operations in order to maintain public health and safety ".
