The First Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan, Mohamed Hamdan Hamidati, announced that negotiations between Sudan, Egypt and Ethiopia over the Renaissance Dam would reach an agreement without harm or harm.

In a press statement, Hamidaty said in Khartoum, after talks he held with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo, that the file of the Nahda Dam negotiations had been assigned to the Sudanese government headed by Abdullah Hamdouk.

Hamidty described the visit as a success, explaining that he discussed during his meeting with Al-Sisi illegal immigration and terrorism, removing Sudan from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism, as well as resuming the work of the joint ministerial committees between the two countries, and issues of concern to the Sudanese community in Egypt.

He added that the meeting touched on the electrical connection between the two countries and increasing its capacity, and a new line was proposed, as President Sisi promised to refer him to the competent authorities for his study, stressing that the consultation between the two countries will continue through exchanging visits between officials in Egypt and Sudan.

Hamidati's visit to Cairo came a week after the assassination attempt on Hamdok in the capital Khartoum, which investigations are still underway, as it comes after a visit by the Egyptian Intelligence Director Abbas Kamel to Khartoum on March 9, during which he met Hamidati and the President of the Sovereign Council Transitional team, the first Abdul-Fattah al-Burhan.
