The number of cases of new coronavirus worldwide has reached 110,000, including more than 3,800 deaths in 100 countries and territories, according to a report established by AFP from official sources Monday around 10:45 am. A total of 110,564 people were infected and 3,862 died. The increase - 1,532 new infections reported since Sunday at 5:00 p.m. - is notably linked to the increase in cases in Iran, with 595 new cases announced on Monday.

3,119 deaths in China

China (without the territories of Hong Kong and Macao), where the epidemic has declared itself, has counted 80,735 cases, including 3,119 deaths. 40 new infections and 22 new deaths were announced there between Sunday evening and Monday morning. Elsewhere in the world, 29,829 cases (1,492 new) were recorded Monday morning, including 743 deaths (48 new).

The countries most affected after China are South Korea (7,382 cases including 69 new, 51 deaths), Italy (7,375 cases, 366 deaths), Iran (7,161 cases including 595 new, 237 deaths), France (1,126 cases, 19 deaths). Since Sunday, China, Iran, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, have recorded new deaths. Albania has announced the diagnosis of the first cases on its soil.

Asia recorded a total of 89,892 cases on Monday (3,188 deaths), Europe 12,233 cases (410 deaths), the Middle East 7,546 cases (243 deaths), the United States and Canada 614 cases (16 deaths), l 'Oceania 98 cases (3 deaths), Latin America and the Caribbean 91 cases (1 death), Africa 90 cases (1 death).
