Police were alerted to the Ekhagsringen in Jönköping at 18.30 on Friday. According to callers, several people must have been involved in a fight.

When police arrive at the scene, witnesses state that, under threat, a man was abducted in a car.

"When the witnesses have tried to prevent this, they should also have been threatened," says Erik Terneborn, press spokesman at the police.

A 40-year-old man, who has been on the scene, must then take up the hunt for the car with his own car. A shot should then have been fired which caused the 40-year-old to stop.

- We have reason to believe that shots have been fired. Then whether it is aimed at anyone or up in the air, we do not know, says Erik Terneborn.

Taken to hospital

About twenty minutes later, the abducted man himself can alert the police. He should then have been left in Barnarp south of Jönköping.

- He is injured when he was found and is transported to the hospital fairly immediately by ambulance, says Erik Terneborn.

Erik Terneborn cannot say what kind of damage it is. During Friday night, police were able to hear the 20-year-old in hospital.

Waiting for technicians

During Friday night, an area at Ekhagsringen was barred. The police have spoken to witnesses and a technical investigation will also be carried out at the scene.

The incident is being investigated as an attempt to murder, people robbery, serious illegal threats and serious abuse. Friday night, no one was suspected or arrested in the case.
